Tribute compact SUV gets an all-new look for the 2008 model year with the focus on a bold, tough exterior look combined with a more upscale, comfortable interior. Built on the same platform as the Ford Escape / Mercury Mariner, the Tribute offers more traditional SUV styling than Mazda’s other SUVs. New front and rear fascias, hood, liftgate, power mirrors, 16-inch alloy wheels, headlights, taillights and standard fog lights adorn the new Tribute. The Tribute will also be available with a hybrid powertrain, making the Tribute Hybrid the first hybrid vehicle with a Mazda badge. Meanwhile, the Mazda5 gets fresh styling for the 2008 model year as well as a number of new features, interior upgrades and a 5-speed automatic transmission. CX-9, just introduced last year, gets an all-new 273-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine. The Mazda6 also gets a number of new features, however Mazda will be discontinuing the Mazda6 Sport Wagon and the MAZDASPEED6 following the 2007 model year.
